COLDCARD MK5 by Coinkite is the new successor to the MK4 – the iconic Bitcoin-only hardware wallet with dual-secure elements (two multi-vendor chips) for 100% air-gapped signing, perfect for maximum BTC security and complex multisig setups.

Security Features & Bitcoin Self-Custody

• Dual-Secure-Element architecture (Microchip ATECC608 + Maxim DS28C36B) stores your 24-word seed completely offline and minimizes single-vendor risks.
• Trick PIN systems including Duress PIN (false wallet), Countdown-to-Brick-PIN, Brick-Me-PIN, Login Countdown, and Login Anti-Phishing words for maximum protection and decryption scenarios.
• 100% air-gapped usage possible (MicroSD Sneakernet, QR codes, NFC-PushTx), so private keys never touch an internet device.
• Open, signed firmware with "Sleep Like a Baby Technology" as well as green/red Genuine-LED indicators against fake firmware and Evil Maid attacks.

Compatibility & Software

• Uses the exact same firmware as the MK4, is 100% backwards compatible, and receives all updates.
• Usable with Sparrow, Electrum, Nunchuk, Keystone, Specter, BlueWallet, and others for Multisig, Air-Gap, and Full-Node setups.
• Supports BIP39 passphrases, Temporary-Seed, and Seed-Vault functions, as well as COLDCARD Co-Signing (CCC) for automated Multisig policies.
