Tamper-Evident Security Bags - Pack of 5

A backup in your safe only tells you that it is still there. Not whether somebody has held it in their hands. That is what these security bags are for: put in the steel plate, the seed card or the hardware wallet, close the seal, write down the number. Anyone who opens the bag after that cannot close it again unnoticed.

The security tape records every attempt. Pulling it open destroys the security foil, moisture smears the water-soluble ink, heat and cold discolour the adhesive strip, solvents wipe the security print away. The sequential number is repeated underneath the tape – so swapping the whole bag for a fresh one shows up as well.

How to seal them properly

1. Label the bag while it is still empty and flat: date, contents, location.
2. Write down the number, tear off the receipt and keep it away from the bag.
3. Insert the contents, peel the protective strip off the tape, press the flap down firmly.
4. To open, cut along the dotted line with scissors.

Please note: the bag does not prevent theft, it prevents undetected access. The foil is transparent – if you need to hide the contents from view, put them in an opaque envelope first. It is not fireproof either; that is what the steel plate inside is for. And keep the noted number somewhere other than the bag, otherwise you have nothing to compare against.
